The Arizona Diamondbacks defeated the Colorado Rockies 3-2 on Thursday night in stunning fashion.

Gerardo Parra and Chris Young belted solo home runs off Rockies’ relief ace Huston Street in the ninth inning forcing extra frames.  Justin Upton drove in the winning run with a single down the right field line in the 11th to complete the comeback victory.

Ian Kennedy pitched 6IP/ 6H/ 2ER/ 3BB/ 5K earned a no-decision in the process.  The Diamondbacks’ bullpen hurled 5 spectacular innings in relief allowing only two base runners.  David Hernandez (2-0) earned the win pitching a scoreless 11th inning.

The Diamondbacks completed their 10-game (6-4) home stand and begin a three-game weekend series tonight against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park.

Barry Enright (1-3, 6.49 ERA) appears to be hitting better than pitching these days.  Unfortunately, the right-hander is paid to get batters out.  Enright smacked a solo home run off Jhoulys Chacin during the middle game of the series against Colorado.  Following the 6-4 loss, Enright was optioned to Triple-A Reno to reinstate RHP Aaron Heilman from the DL.

Justin Upton led off the 8th inning on Tuesday night and walloped an eventual game-winning home run off RHP Felipe Paulino (0-1) to break a 3-3 tie.  The right-fielder clubbed his sixth home run of the season on a 3-0 pitch, giving the Diamondbacks a series opening 4-3 win.

Henry Blanco opened the scoring for the Diamondbacks with a solo blast in the 3rd inning.  The backup catcher recorded his first hit of the season with the home run.  Xavier Nady added a two-run single later in the inning to increase the lead to 3-1.

Carlos Gonzalez hit a titanic 453-foot home run to lead off the 4th inning for the Rockies.

Joe Saunders pitched 6IP/ 6H/ 3ER/ 3BB/ 2K in the no-decision.  David Hernadez (1-0) earned the win in relief hurling a scoreless 8th inning.  J.J. Putz pitched the ninth inning and earned his 7th save of the season.
